Forestry Dept. to Buy 50-Hectare Land For RTH in 2018

Jakarta Forestry Dept. is targeting to purchase 50 hectares of land for developing a green open space in 2018.

Next year we will buy a land up to 50 hectares

To purchase the land, the dept. will spend Rp 2 trillion through 2018 Draft APBD.

Djarot Encourages Realization of Land Purchase for RPTRA

Jakarta Forestry Dept. Head, Djafar Muchlisin said, the land will be used for three types of designation. Those are RTH park, urban forest and cemetery.

"Next year we will buy a land up to 50 hectares," he expressed, Monday (11/27).

He explained fund amounting to Rp 2 trillion proposed for next year's RTH land purchase is greater than this year. The budget allocation is to acquire the land with the assumption of Rp 5 million per square meters.

"Every year we always target the purchase of land up to 50 hectares, but several times it is collided with the availability of land to be purchased and budget allocations," he stated.

He added, since the last five years, land purchase could be achieved 100 percent in 2015. However, it is optimistic, the purchase can reach the target next year.

"Next year we will propose Rp 2 trillion. It is for developing RTH park, urban forest and cemetery widening," he said.
